Axomiya Gohona:
Axomiya Gohona is crafted by the artisans of Jorhat (Sonarigaon), Nagaon (Rontholi) and Barpeta district of Assam. 

The jewellery of Sonarigaon, Jorhat is the jewellery which were adorned by the mighty Ahom kings and queens. The frame of the jewellery is crafted in 22 kt gold, with the topmost layer of 24 kt. The gold frame of the jewellery is filled with lac and precious/semi precious stones are fitted on the top face of the jewellery. 

The jewellery made in Rontholi are called 'Kesa Xon'/'Paat Xon' gohona. This is because the jewellery made in Rontholi is of silver with purity of 92.5% and above, which is layered with 24 kt leaf gold (i.e kesa xon/paat xon in Assamese). The frame of the jewellery is filled with lac and semi precious/glass stones are fitted on the top face of the jewellery. 

The jewellery of Barpeta is made either in gold or silver. If the jewellery is made in silver, then to give it a golden look, gold polish or electroplating is done on it. This electroplating can be done either with or without nickel coating. Lac is not used by the artisans of Barpeta. The artisans of Barpeta also make jewellery fitted with colourful stones, which was long forgotten but revived in recent times.

Bead jewellery:
This platform also displays bead jewellery, crafted by the artisans of Assam who are trained under various programmes of Deptt of Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises, Government of Assam.
